Frisco VFW Motorcycle Group – Unit 17 (MG17) supports the mission and programs of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8273 while building camaraderie through motorcycle riding and community service. We ride together to honor those who served, support local veterans and their families, and represent the VFW in the North Texas riding community.

Scenic group ride through North Texas back roads with fuel and coffee stops. All bikes welcome.

Monthly MG17 Meeting

When: Third Wednesday of each month • 1900 hrs
Where: Frisco VFW Post 8273 Hall

Guests and prospective members are welcome. Come meet the leadership, learn about upcoming rides, and get involved.

Charity Poker Run

Date: Saturday, May 3 • KSU: 0930
Benefiting: Local veteran support programs

Ride, draw cards at each stop, and support Frisco-area veterans. Open to the public with registration at the post.

MG17 is the official motorcycle group affiliated with Frisco VFW Post 8273. Our members are veterans, active-duty personnel, and supporters who share a commitment to the VFW mission and a love for life on two wheels.

About MG17

Frisco VFW Motorcycle Group – Unit 17 exists to extend the mission of the Veterans of Foreign Wars onto the open road. We support VFW programs, promote motorcycle safety, and build a tight-knit brotherhood among riders who understand the meaning of service and sacrifice.

As part of Frisco VFW Post 8273, MG17 participates in ceremonies, honor guards, fundraising rides, and community outreach. On any given month, you’ll find us organizing rides, supporting veteran families, and representing the VFW across North Texas.

Meeting Information

MG17 meets once a month to plan rides, review upcoming VFW events, and handle group business. Prospective members are welcome to attend.

Charity Poker Run

Joining MG17 is straightforward. If you’re a veteran, active-duty service member, or supporter who shares the VFW mission and enjoys riding, we’d be honored to have you with us.

Who Can Join

MG17 welcomes riders who:

  • Are VFW members, eligible veterans, or dedicated supporters
  • Own or regularly ride a motorcycle
  • Support the mission and values of the Veterans of Foreign Wars
  • Commit to riding safely and representing MG17 with respect

Membership Process

  • Step 1 – Download membership forms
    Grab the latest MG17 membership packet and ride waiver forms.
  • Step 2 – Attend a meeting or group ride
    Meet the leadership team, learn our safety expectations, and get to know the crew.
  • Step 3 – Submit completed forms
    Turn in your paperwork to MG17 leadership at a meeting or event and complete any required VFW membership steps.

If you’re not yet a member of the VFW but believe you may be eligible, MG17 leadership and Post 8273 officers can help you with the process.
